Note: In this article you will see "variables" like $username and $password. Anything that starts with a $ should be replaced with your own details.

Connecting from School

On A School Computer (PC)

School computers should connect to an existing X Drive automatically. If yours hasn't appeared (and you know one has been set up for you) make sure that the PC has network access (try the internet) and then reboot the PC. If neither of those fixes work check with your teacher and the IT Department (submit a ticket) here.

On A School Computer (Mac or Chromebook)

What are you doing! Use a PC! (If you absolutely MUST, you can use a Mac by following the same procedure as a personal device, but a Chromebook might be difficult)

On a Personal Computer (PC)

You can either use an SFTP Client (like Filezilla) or Map a Network drive. Your Credentials will be the same;

Username:   mastermac\$username
Password:   $schoolPassword

SFTP Client

Server/Host:     x.mtaspiring.school.nz
Port:            22

Mapping a Network Drive

Network Location:    \\x.mtaspiring.school.nz\$username

On a Personal Computer (Mac)

You can either use an SFTP Client (like Filezilla) or Connect a Network folder. Your Credentials will be the same;

Password:   $schoolPassword

Connecting a Network Folder

In Finder, either press Command+K to bring up “Connect to Server” or click Go > Connect to Server

Network Location:    \\x.mtaspiring.school.nz\$username

Connecting from Home

You need to use an SFTP client (Like Filezilla) to connect to your X/Web Drive from home. Keep in mind these settings are different than the SFTP settings you would use on-site!
